For Giving Tuesday’s global movement that encourages people to do good, we will be donating 5% of Smidge® sales to the Detroit Abloom wellness garden project. Plus, you can enjoy free shipping with your orders. 😊
About Detroit Abloom
Detroit Abloom is a nonprofit model land-use demonstration project, based on using cut flower farming and the creation of native plant sanctuary gardens to re-purpose vacant, blighted land in the city.
Several years ago, the Detroit Abloom team and volunteers cleaned up vacant, blighted lots in the Jefferson Chalmers neighborhood. Gradually, the idea evolved that by using cut flower farming to transform vacant land, they could turn blight into exceptional beauty and make places of sanctuary to benefit the community.
Moreover, Detroit Abloom has evolved to become an outdoor wellness center that works with health practitioners to offer an array of holistic workshops, classes, and programs to help enhance local neighbors' health. These programs include Food is Medicine, yoga, meditation and more.
Since its inception in 2015, Detroit Abloom has also created a Native Plant Nursery, purchased additional lots, specialized in butterfly conservation and developed a community of on-site plot farmers and a Kids Abloom children’s discovery garden.
Even if you can’t make a purchase today, we hope you’ll consider giving back in another way. Options are donating to an organization you’re passionate about, signing up to volunteer, or lending a hand to a neighbor. 💜
We thank you for your support and wish you a beautiful Giving Tuesday!
