I bought this for my toddler mainly but figured the adults might take it too. We don't eat red meat at all so I figured we'd try.
Pros: my toddler took for about 4 weeks prior to the latest blood iron test and the numbers have never been this high! They shot up like we've never seen happen on the standard iron supplements for the past 2+ years.
Cons: because of possible vitamin A overdose you have to be really careful taking this no matter your age (I had to do a lot of research and math then confirm with the doctor in our case). Additionally, my breastfed little one who has other food allergies (whose introduction to red meat was just this supplement through breast milk) had an allergic reaction to this so I had to stop taking it right away.
Takeaway: 100% worth continuing to buy for my iron deficient toddler but requires a lot of diligence to avoid vitamin A overdose (especially if you already eat a plant rich diet high in vitamin A).
