Transcript:

Archie Welch, Co-Owner, Research and Development: I got into this because my daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, which meant that she had to take insulin for the rest of her life. You know, I thought, “There’s got to be something better than just taking insulin for the rest of your life.”

Daniel Corrigan, Co-Owner, CEO: I had insatiable hunger. I was just starving. I started to experience different health issues. So my health was declining.

Karen Myers, Co-Owner, Nutritional Therapy Practitioner: I was malnutritioned. My digestive system was completely beaten up from years of antibiotics and medication. It was essentially blocking nutrient absorption. And when you don’t have nutrients and you don’t have that healthy gut microbiome with beneficial bacteria, you’re not able to fight infection.

Archie: I started looking into different diets. And I thought, “Well, I can’t get (my daughter) to do a diet that I can’t do myself.” So I started some different diets.  These cultural diets of these really healthy cultures and what they ate. Hearing about how sugars are so bad for you and how grains, these processed grains are so bad for you. So I eliminated those from my diet. And when I did that, all of these things started happening to me, and I realized how sick I was. I suffered from ADD. And I knew that for most of my life. And now I was able to concentrate more, my energy levels went up. I just felt great. And I thought, “Oh my god.” You don’t even know how ill you are until you are out of it and you look back and say, “I was not doing too well.”

Dan: I went to different doctors and they did tests. And they said, “Dan, everything looks fine.” I realized I had to take control of my own health. I started to take classes. So I had training on digestive health or fermented vegetables. All these things came together so I could finally heal myself. Basically, I could heal my gut. I could restore my nutrients by eating the most nutrient-dense foods. Having supplements like probiotics and digestive enzymes can help accelerate that change.

Karen: It all starts at the very core with your digestion and getting pure nutrients. And once I started going back to basics and getting connected to local organic farmers and sourcing food from people who care about the earth and the animals, my digestion healed. And then ultimately, my body knew how to take care of itself and fix itself.

Archie: Even the best foods we’re getting today, don’t even compare to what our ancestors had. Our soils are more depleted. They’re over farmed. What our supplements are doing is helping us bridge the gap from what our ancestors had and what we’re getting today. So we’re just trying to help you bridge that gap a little bit, so that you can be the best that you can be.
