Today is Giving Tuesday, a global movement that encourages people to do good in the world. As this year has been especially difficult for many, we wanted to give back to an organization helping those in need — with fresh, locally-grown produce.
We’re donating 5% of today’s sales to Buckets of Rain, a non-profit urban gardening project in Detroit working to end food insecurity.
Since 2012, Buckets of Rain has repurposed more than 30 blighted lots into community gardens, providing nearly a million servings of veggies free of charge to homeless shelters, food banks and neighbors. The group’s primary efforts focus on growing produce in its "Big Glen" garden, which is half a mile from four large homeless shelters.
We’re incredibly inspired by their mission and thrilled to lend our support. If you’d like to learn more, just click here.
Even if you can’t make a purchase today, we hope you’ll consider giving back in another way. Donate to an organization you’re passionate about, sign up to volunteer, or simply help out a neighbor. :)
We thank you for your support and wish you a beautiful Giving Tuesday!
